Week Five - Final Project

Create Five alternative spaces to facilitate final meeting.
Meeting between whanau - holiday.

Alternative One
Space consisted of memories from family holidays past, designed for those who have family overseas or perhaps passed. Space triggers sences e.g Touch: grass, sunlight and warmth from heaters on roof, projector screens family photos and videos onto the walls of the boat shed. Physical campsite with tent, pohutakawa makes the scene more real. This simulator room works upon triggering sences e.g Cicada's, ocean (sound) Fish and chips, salty air (smell) Ice cream, tomato sauce (taste).

Alternative Four
Meeting between whanau and holiday, journey and destination. Inspired by cruise ship deck.

Alternative Three
Emphasis on accommodation aspect of holiday. In this instance a family can pick and choose which form of accommodation they wish to have. The first shed is a hotel room for more lavish holidays, second is a tent for the rough camping experience and the third, a simple bach for a classic beach getaway.

Alternative Five
Simple campsite room, water flows into boat shed, jetty for fishing off, small ice cream and f&c window in wall. Inspired by my own family holidays passed.

Alternative Two:
Portable boat shed, complete with tow bar and caravan like interior. Taking the hassle out of holidays so the focus is put on the meeting at hand and creating good memories. Caravan like interior, Thatched roof to let in sunlight, sprinkler located at the rear for kids to frolic underneath, pizza oven and fire pit also at rear for cooking, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories round.
